AUTHENTIC STORIES, PERSONAL CONNECTIONS
Melrose Placed produces authentic narratives and champions the evolving role of storytelling in shaping societal attitudes. By placing characters and content first, our projects explore unexpected perspectives and universal truths with openness and curiosity — shattering assumptions in the process.
Our projects include Deaf U, a 2020 docu-series on Netflix that follows a group of deaf and hard of hearing college students who attend Gallaudet University, a private university for the education of the deaf and hard of hearing. An unprecedented 50% of the crew on the series were deaf.
We also produced Oscar Nominated short film Audible for Netflix, a coming-of-age film documenting the journey of football player Amaree McKenstry-Hall which The Guardian called, “Moving and evocative.”
We have on going projects in development with Universal, Netflix, Spectrum and other partners.
