JESSAMYN STANLEY is an internationally acclaimed voice in wellness, highly sought-after for her insights on 21st-century yoga and intersectional identity. She is well-versed on a variety of cultural issues including the modern Black experience, LGBTQIA+ representation, and equity in the health industry. Jessamyn’s first book, ‘Every Body Yoga: Let Go of Fear. Get On the Mat Love Your Body’, has inspired global audiences to discover the power of yoga and set forth on a path for personal development. Her highly anticipated second book, ‘YOKE: My Yoga of Self Acceptance’ was released in 2021 to much acclaim. In a series of deeply honest, funny, gritty, thoughtful, and largely autobiographical essays, Yoke explores issues of self-love, body-positivity, race, sex and sexuality, cannabis, and more, all through the lens of an authentic yoga practice.
Jessamyn has been featured on the cover of SELF, Cosmopolitan UK and featured on Good Morning America as well as covered in the New York Times, Vogue , Glamour, Sports Illustrated and Women’s Health among many other domestic and international media outlets. She can currently be seen in Gatorade Fit’s campaign alongside other athletes Sydney McLaughlin and Cody Rigsby. Jessamyn is consistently labeled as one-to-watch in the media and an award - winning social advocate. In 2020, Essence included her in their Future 15 List, Women’s Health magazine recognized The Underbelly as the ‘Most Inclusive Yoga Flows’ and Jessamyn also received a Shorty Award for Best in Healthy Living in 2021.
